About New Horizon Press
New Horizon Press:
Real People. Incredible Stories.
New Horizon Press was established in 1982 and was originally an imprint of the distinguished small publishing company, Horizon Press (New York City). In 1983, New Horizon Press became a separate entity and took up residence in an historic building located in Liberty Corner, New Jersey.
Driven by the vision and talents of its widely respected founder and editor-in-chief, Dr. Joan S. Dunphy, the company focused on true crime as well as psychological and social problems, women’s and men’s issues, and parenting advice written by experts with credentials in their fields. In 1992, NHP introduced Small Horizons, the illustrated children’s “Let’s Talk” series that teaches crisis coping, tolerance and service skills.
Though mourning the passing of Dr. Dunphy in October 2015, the company continues to actively market the books she helped shape and publish, garnering film and media attention while remaining very much in demand. Check out monthly updates on our website, Facebook and Twitter.
